Dr. Robert W. Boyd

Dr. Robert W. Boyd is a Professor with the uOttawa Department of Physics and cross-appointed to the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as well as a member of the Centre for Research in Photonics (CRPuO) and Canada Excellence Research Chair in Quantum Nonlinear Optics.

Over the past few years, Dr. Boyd has been honoured with the following awards and distinctions for his valuable research contributions:

  • Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Fellow, 2017

The IEEE Fellow is one of the most prestigious honours of the IEEE, and is bestowed upon a very limited number of Senior Members who have contributed importantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology bringing significant value to our society. Dr. Boyd is recognized for his contributions to the fields of nonlinear optics and photonics.
