The George S. Glinski Award recognizes Prof. Lessard’s contributions to research that have earned distinction for both himself and for the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawathrough creative scholarship.
Applying the use of photonics, this new technology creates a pulsing effect when integrated on coins. This technology has now been used to create a recognition medal to honour the contributions of essential workers, with proceeds being donated to a Canadian charity.
