CRPuO member Karin Hinzer has been awarded University Research Chair in Photonic Devices for Energy for her “advancing novel concepts in photonics and nanophotonics, driving new architectures and markets in energy, power and data communications.” (Research, uOttawa, 2019).
“Awarding these research chairs will allow high-level researchers to increase our discoveries in strategically important fields for our university” (Sylvain Charbonneau, uOttawa Vice-President, Research).
She joins the ranks of several other CRPuO members including Pierre Berini, Trevor Hall, Pawel Hawrylak, and Jianping Yao.
